Steelhead Fishing Walnut Creek 10-21-2011
I was up at Walnut Creek yesterday morning and it had rained most of the night before so the creeks were running high at 8:00am yesterday (Friday).
I checked a couple of sites and they are saying that the creeks are coming back down so they are probably fishable now and will probably be pretty good tomorrow (Sunday).
If you get a chance to get out and fish…do it…the action was pretty good last week.
I talked to a guy from Pittsburgh on Wednesday morning and he had caught atleast 15 steelhead and I witnessed it all. He was very nice and even offered me his fishing spot when he left. He told me he was using a red sucker spawn and as I witnessed, he was getting hits like every 4 or 5 casts in the rapids. The steelhead are up past the manchester hole and in both the waterfalls up there. I had a great time and hope to get back out soon.
I did have a video from Wednesday that was really good but it got deleted from my computer by accident
🙂
Bummer but there will be more.
