Headed out for walnut creek this morning because I knew we had received some rain overnight. Was expecting the creek to rise alittle from the rain but when I arrived it was still low and clear.

Also, received another surprise in the water….LEAVES!! Nothing like casting and always bringing back a leaf. It is really tough to fish with the leaves in the water and not just a few leaves, alot of leaves.

Anyways, the forecast is calling for more rain today but will it bring more leaves, that is the question.

When I left the creek, the water was starting to rise and become muddy. Started out seeing some fish swimming through below the manchester hole, then you could feel the water rising up the waders and you weren’t able to see the fish anymore. If we get more rain today, like they say we should, it will really bring the creeks up but we need to get rid of those leaves.

I did not see anyone catch anything while I was there. It was tough fishing with those leaves!!
