Steelhead Fishing on Walnut Creek Friday 10-14-2011

I headed up to walnut on Friday to check out the water conditions and see if I could catch any steelhead.  The water was alittle higher from some rain overnight thursday into friday but I gave it a try anyways.

I fished from 7:00am-9:00am and only saw 4 fish caught.  It rained on and off all day Friday and continued to rain today, Saturday.  I believe the creeks are now blown out and not fishable.  It may take a few days for them to come down but if you can time it right and you can get up there and fish as they are coming down it should be good fishing.  I’m sure alot more steelhead came in with this heavy rain.
